WHAT WORKS FOR US ON THE S/V SUMMERTHOR

rear View Mirror
The Rear View Mirror We have put in a bunch of miles traveling up and down the Intercostal Waterway... that wet highway!  So we invested $15 in a truck side view mirror which we mounted onto the steering pedestal.
Throw Rope Cover We keep our horseshoe float attached to the boat by means of a polypropeline line but poly doesn't do well against UV light. To solve the problem, I sewed a pouch out of ripstop nylon.
Nillis Aid to Navigation.  There are times we often forget which side we're supposed to be putting that !@*%$* buoy on on the ICW. Our friend Joe Nillis on the "Ja-C-Jo" gave us this solution!
Ship's Flag Cover Call us thrifty... or just plain cheap, but we got tired of spending $25 to $30 every few months for a new ship's flag.  I solved this problem by making my very own "flag snoodle!
